Children's Ministry

Fun.  Safe.  Christ-Centered.

New Life Faith Center is committed to serving families with children of all ages.  Our team of children's ministry volunteers work diligently to make sure that each child has access to meaningful teaching that is age-appropriate and engaging.

New Life Faith Center uses a curriculum called The Gospel Project to present important Bible teaching with an emphasis on the Gospel and the redemptive plan of Jesus.  Here's a brief description of the program from the publisher's website:

"The big picture of God’s story.

At last! A Bible study resource that shows how Christ fits into the entire gospel story, pre- creation to eternity. And where each one of us fits into it, too.   The three-year chronological timeline ensures that no matter when you jump in, you won’t miss a thing.

The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events—presenting the story of redemption through Jesus like kids have never seen it before! Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, activities, and more."

At New Life Faith Center, we have two opportunities each weekend to engage with this curriculum:

Sunday School: (Sundays at 10:00 AM) Within this small group environment, children are introduced to a Big Picture question that will be explored throughout the lesson.  Next, kids review Bible lesson for the day, using a variety of learning techniques (activities, songs, scavenger hunts, videos, etc.).  Children also work in small group settings to complete activities that reinforce the day's Bible Point.

Children's Worship: (Sundays at 11:00 AM) Within a whole group environment, children participate in lively worship, Bible teaching, and games.  With an emphasis on application, students work through the same Big Picture question that is explored in Sunday School (reinforcing what has already been learned), while introducing new content and reinforcing the message in a memorable way.

Each week, children come home from Children's Ministries with a copy of the Big Picture Card and accompanying newsletter so that families can reinforce Bible teaching throughout the week.  These simple take-home activities allow families to have the materials they need to help their children apply the message to their lives each week.

The children's ministry staff at New Life Faith Center participates in on-going training to learn new and exciting ways to present materials to children that will be engaging and reinforce the learning at home.
